The Role

 

We are looking for a dynamic leader for this new team! In this role you will:

  • Lead a small team of two event officers in the assessment and approval of filming and photography permits, commercial activations and external event applications.
  • Produce Council’s civic events program, including Anzac Day, Remembrance Day and other small scale events across Waverley.
  • Administrate, plan and deliver Council’s citizenship ceremony program.
  • Modernise and innovate permit assessment processes, with a customer-centred and commercial mindset.
  • Manage multiple, at times complex stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Contribute to Waverley’s annual major events program as a team player with great work ethic.

 

About You

 

  • Professional event and leadership (people management) experience.
  • Examples of stakeholder management.
  • Understanding of event production delivery and permits processing and management in a Local Government or equivalent context.
  • Ability to identify and mitigate event and organisation risks.
  • Creativity and a passion for innovation.
  • Commercial mindset and budgeting skills.
  • Superb communication skills and a team-first mindset.
